The Truth About Chicken
The truth about chicken, many have debated this. I even heard from my mom, during one of her wild diet phases, that you shouldn’t eat chicken, because they don’t pee. Ya, they don’t pee, because they poo and pee at the same time! The author of that same book also claimed fish had a lot of mercury, Dasani and certain other bottled waters were better than others, he had all sorts of interesting ideas. Of course, we all told my mom the writer was an idiot, and she of course had to prove us wrong, even though there were basic scientific facts like oh, chickens peeing and pooing at the same time, so not directly peeing, that we could prove he was wrong on. Either way, not eating meat could contribute to some serious weight loss. They say the average vegetarian loses quite a few pounds from the time between being a vegetarian and switching over, because it’s healthier than the average American diet. Granted, that’s not saying much. But at the same point, increasing the energy levels you get from the same amount of food by focusing mostly on plants, not eating as many fats from meat, etc. could logically contribute to a healthier lifestyle in general. If you are eating ice cream and cheese all the time instead of meat, that’s probably not going to make you healthier, some food for thought. But if you do it right, it could make a definite difference. I don’t know that any toxic type of theory would hold up to reality, but weight loss in relation to the cessation of the consumption of meat does have some basis in scientific fact. It just depends on your regular eating habits and if that’s something you would actually want to do in your own life. People do it for different reasons of course, some are just more motivated toward that particular goal than others.
